Senior Cyber Security Consultant

If you’re drawn to real work in cybersecurity, real networks, real customers, and real attacks await you. Every deployment reveals a different security story – from compromised devices and lateral movement to communication that traditional security tools often overlook.

You won’t be solving lab scenarios. You’ll be helping organizations understand what’s happening in their network right now.

Who are we?

We develop GREYCORTEX Mendel, a Czech Network Detection & Response (NDR) solution that helps organizations detect attacks before they cause damage. Our technology protects banks, hospitals, factories, and critical infrastructure, where cybersecurity is not just about compliance, but an essential part of daily operations.

What will you do with us?

You’ll be GREYCORTEX’s technical ambassador – the person who connects technology, the customer, and sales. Your job won’t just be to present the product, but to show its real value directly in the customer’s environment: on their data, in their network, and in the context of their security challenges.

Specifically, you will:

  • Present Mendel to customers – explaining how Network Detection & Response works, what it can uncover in their network, and which blind spots it helps eliminate compared to traditional security tools.
  • Carry out trial deployments – analyzing real traffic in customer networks, identifying noteworthy findings, explaining their significance, and helping customers understand the true state of their security.
  • Design technical solutions – contributing to deployment architecture, sizing, integrations, and the technical part of proposals for enterprise customers.
  • Act as an expert partner – working with the sales team, partners, and customers as a technical expert who can translate security challenges into concrete solutions.
  • Share know-how in the community – representing GREYCORTEX at conferences, workshops, and industry events.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a security professional with broad perspective who can connect technical knowledge with an understanding of customers’ real security problems. We’re not looking for a specialist in one narrow area – what matters is the ability to see security in context.

What you should know:

  • A good grasp of cybersecurity – attack principles, malware, and the security of operating systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • A good understanding of networks, especially TCP/IP and common network protocols (DNS, HTTP(S), SMTP, SMB, SSH, RDP, …). We’ll teach you detailed traffic analysis.
  • An overview of enterprise environments – technologies, processes, and requirements such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, or similar standards.
  • An overview of security tools such as EDR, SIEM, monitoring, or antivirus, and their role in protecting an organization.
  • An interest in using AI in cybersecurity and the ability to understand both its possibilities and its limits.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, Active Directory, and enterprise network administration.
  • The ability to communicate – to explain a technical topic to a customer, lead a professional discussion, and work toward solutions.

Experience with NDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, or SOC environments, NetFlow/IPFIX, or OT security will be an advantage.

Why GREYCORTEX?

Because here you won’t see cybersecurity only in theory.

You’ll work with real networks, real data, and the genuine security challenges of organizations that rely on us. Every Mendel deployment brings a new perspective on how attacks unfold and where traditional tools have blind spots. You’ll work with large-scale network data and see security events in a context that classic alerting tools often don’t provide.

As a technology company with our own product, you’ll have the chance to directly influence where the product goes next. At the same time, you’ll have the support of an experienced team that will help you get up to speed quickly.

What we offer

  • Work on a product with real impact – you’ll be part of a team developing its own security technology.
  • Room for your own initiative – here you’re not just an executor of tasks. Your experience and ideas can shape how the product and the whole team grow.
  • Contact with real security incidents and data.
  • 5 weeks of vacation + 5 sick days for plenty of time to rest.
  • Flexible working hours – what matters is the result, not hours logged.
  • Support for professional growth – training, conferences, and further education based on where you want to go.
  • Quarterly team bonuses based on shared results.
  • English courses, individually or in a group.
  • Standard work equipment – laptop, mobile phone with plan, and a meal allowance.
  • A contribution toward a Multisport card and shared company activities – from board games and barbecues to events outside the office.
